Student General Counsel to Resign

ANN ARBOR, MI – Due to personal reasons, Student General Counsel (SGC) Joey Hansel will be stepping down from his position at the end of the Fall semester.

CSG would like to thank Joey for all the incredible work that he has done during his term. In addition to recruiting a qualified and impressive University Elections Commission and Elections Director, Joey has also provided clear and understandable legal counsel to Central Student Government in all matters that have come before the body. He also spearheaded the creation of the first Constitutional Convention since Central Student Government transitioned from the Michigan Student Assembly.

Central Student Government has begun the search process for the next Student General Counsel. The application is currently on the CSG website (csg.umich.edu), and will be due at 11:59pm on November 20th, 2016.

“I want to thank Joey for his service to CSG,” said President David Schafer. “He was a wonderful SGC. His commitment, hard work, and vision have contributed to what has thus far been a successful year.”
