Summer Assembly

During the Spring and 000Summer terms of the University, the funding operations of the Central Student Government are condensed into, and operate as, the Summer Assembly.

The Summer Assembly meets every other week for the duration of the Spring and Summer terms unless the Chair deems it appropriate to end sofc_badge_return to main homepagethe Summer Assembly (typically when the budget has been completely utilized).

The eighth meeting of Summer Assembly 2019 will be August 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the CSG Office (2450 North Quad).

Each student organization requesting funding presents their request in a ten-minute allotment which may be extended by a simple majority vote.

The funding application for the August 21st meeting is available here, and is due by NOON on August 21st.

Receipts for granted funds are due three weeks following the meeting at which the funds were awarded. Please submit receipts here.

Diversity Summit – Bridging Gaps

On April 6th, 2019 at 10am; CSG will be hosting its very first Diversity Summit- Bridging Gaps; A a part of the NET Plan series. The conference would be a one-day summit with keynote speakers and various workshop tracks relating to the experience of underrepresented and marginalized communities on our campus and hot topic issues.

Register yourself and get your organizations involved. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all.

Calculator Rentals

Central Student Government is offering TI-84 calculator rentals for no charge to currently enrolled University of Michigan students (must provide valid MCard). Calculators may be picked up and reserved at the Central Student Government Office (2450 North Quad).

If calculators are returned late or lost, your student account will be subject to charges.

Central Student Government held the Fall 2018 Elections on November 26, 2018 and November 27, 2018 at

CSG is the campus-wide student government, representing all 19 degree-granting units at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  Various colleges and schools at the University have their own Student Government Elections as well.  If you are interested in running for LSA Student Government, you may find more information about LSA-SG Elections here.

There are many different ways to get your voice heard in Central Student Government at the University of Michigan, including: joining an Executive Commission or Task Force, joining the Student Organization Funding Committee (SOFC), or by applying to be an intern for CSG’s Executive Team.

University Unions Funding Assistance Program

University Unions will make available temporary funding assistance for Registered Student Organization events while the Michigan Union is closed for renovation. Funds will be available beginning September 4, 2018. Some stipulations apply, like being a Registered Student Organization in good standing. Review the criteria for consideration before you submit your application.
