ANN ARBOR- With a vote of 34 opposed, 13 in favor, and 3 abstentions, CSG voted down Resolution 6-018 on Tuesday. The Resolution called on CSG to request the Board of Regents to establish an ad hoc committee to assess University investments in companies that conduct business with Israel.

In 2015, CSG approved a Resolution to support the formation of an oil and coal investment committee. The University of Michigan officially divested from South Africa in 1978, and in 2000, U-M divested from the tobacco industry.
