ANN ARBOR, MI- Tonight, Central Student Government approved a resolution that will provide free digital access to the New York Times for current students. This readership program allows students to use their UM email address to receive unlimited digital access to the Times for 24 hours from the time they sign up. Once this window expires, students will be eligible to sign up again, but a maximum of 500 students can sign up at one time. The pilot program will last 7 weeks, from October 3rd to November 20th, and the usage data will be examined to determine the possibility of providing more permanent access.
